The next meeting for the members of the Rebecca Emery Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will be at 1 p.m. It will be led by Chapter Regent Deborah Bragdon and will take place at Atria, located at 1 Penny Lane, Kennebunk, off U.S. Route 1. An award ceremony will take place for the winners of the American History Essay Contest, grades five through eight, as well as for the winners of the Christopher Columbus Essay Contest, grades nine through 12, both led by Leigh Olson, chapter and Maine State American History Committee chair. Also to be honored will be the high school seniors who were elected 2016-17 DAR Good Citizens at schools in this area, led by DAR Good Citizen Chair Jenna Davis.
