The Midcoast Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Rohan Smith, will present its second concert of the 27th season, “Summer Music for a Winter’s Eve,” on Saturday and Sunday in Lewiston and Topsham.
On the program are “Overture from The Bartered Bride,” by Czech composer Bedrich Smetana, the suite of three Symphonic Dances by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 in Bb Major and Rachmaninoff ’s Symphonic Dances.
Performances of “Summer Music for a Winter’s Eve” will take place Saturday at 7:30 p.m., at the Gendron Franco Center in Lewiston and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., at the Orion Performing Arts Center in Topsham. Tickets for both concerts are $20 for adults, with everyone 18 and under and all students with ID admitted free.
