I am supporting Ryan Fecteau for re-election to State House District 11.

I was a Biddeford School Committee member when Ryan was student representative on the committee. He worked tirelessly to win citizen approval for the high school renovation project.

In his first term in the Legislature, he sponsored a bill to gain additional funding for secondary technical schools. There hasn’t been significant infrastructure and equipment funding for technical schools in years. Ryan knows that these are the incubators for new jobs for our high school students and local employers.

He also supports the voters who approved 55 percent state funding for education for our Maine elementary and secondary students. Unfortunately, this has consistently fallen short, and funding has fallen on increased local property taxes or school budget cuts.

Ryan will fight for our elderly citizens, and provide much-needed affordable housing for a growing senior population.
