Catholic Charities Maine will celebrate the opening of its newest Threads of Hope Thrift Store with a ribbon cutting event on Oct. 19 at noon at 136 Main St., Freeport.
The Freeport opening will mark the sixth Threads of Hope location for CCM, with additional stores in Caribou, Portland, Presque Isle, Monticello and Sanford.
Proceeds from Threads of Hope Thrift Stores fund Catholic Charities Maine’s 20+ programs and services statewide. Catholic Charities empowers and strengthens individuals and families of all faiths by providing innovative community-based social services throughout Maine around mental health, counseling, substance abuse, senior outreach, child development, hunger and relief services, dental and orthodontic services, and refugee and immigration, among others.
There will be a store blessing by Fr. Peter Kaseta of the Parish of the Holy Eucharist and a Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening Celebration with remarks by CCM staff and Freeport Chamber Officials. For more information, visit ccmaine.org or call 1- 800-781-8550.
