Learn about New England funeral traditions at the Buxton-Hollis Historical Society at 6:30 p.m. Funeral home owner Chad Poitras will discuss “The Evolution of Funeral Customs in New England,” highlighting the importance of funerals as markers of religious, cultural and historical societal beliefs and practices, at Bonny Eagle High School, 100 Main St. (Route 4A), Bar Mills, Buxton.
