PORTLAND — An Old Orchard Beach woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Portland early Wednesday morning.
Portland police responded to a car accident at 1:45 a.m. on Commercial Street near Beach Street.
Rachel Schwartz, 30, drove a 2009 Honda Fit that struck a utility pole. Schwartz was alone in the car and died on the scene, according to Portland Police. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is encouraged to contact the Portland Police Department at 874-8532 or 874-8575.
