The Bridgton Lakes Region Rotary Club will hold a community discussion on state politics and a benefit walk this October.

The community discussion with members of Maine Citizens for Clean Elections will be held at 7:15 a.m. at the Bridgton Community Center on Thursday, Oct. 13. Community members will gather at the center at 15 Depot Rd. for an interactive discussion on “Money, Politics and Maine,” centering on how money in state politics affects democracy.

The “Bridge Walk to Eradicate Polio” will start at 9 a.m. at the parking lot of Jewlz Hair Salon in Naples on Saturday, Oct. 22. The walk aims to bring awareness to those affected by polio around the world. The salon is located at 711 Roosevelt Trail.

The Bridgton Lakes Region Rotary Club was among the vendors at the Fryeburg Fair this week. They will continue their outreach this month with two events planned for the Lakes Region.
