YORK — York Hospital will host a gala event on Saturday at The York Harbor Inn, at 480 York St., to benefit the Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging. Proceeds will be used to improve the health and well-being of our community as residents age. These may include programs such as transportation services, strength and balance programs, home delivery meal services and more. The evening will be busy, featuring speakers whose topics resonate with the fund’s focus. In addition, guests will enjoy a surf and turf dinner of lobster tail and petite filet mignon, as well as favorites like mini crab cakes and lobster grilled cheese. Adding to the festivities will be a raffle for a $1,000 trip to Paris, along with many silent auction surprises.
If you have any questions or would like to purchase tickets to this gala event – donations are $150 per ticket or $1,000 per table of eight – please contact the Friendraising Office at 351-2385, or info@yorkhospital.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
