From the Journal Tribune: “State results divulging which schools have made Adequate Yearly Progress in the annual Maine Educational Assessment won’t be officially released until, at least, next Monday. But some schools, like Biddeford Middle School, have been anxious so share their own data. Unfortunately… the school did not make AYP for the second year in a row.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “The formation of an Intercollegiate Council of Maine was announced today by the Council’s president, James Ronan, a junior at St. Francis College. The Council’s objectives are to bring about a greater coordination of efforts by students in Maine institutions of higher learning, to promote understanding, friendship and the attributes of education, society and culture to the member colleges and their neighboring communities.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “The French have paused in their advance north of Peronne, where they have a driven a total distance of six miles into the German lines since July 1, when the offensive on the Somme front began, and now are withstanding a series of German counter-attacks.”
