From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Two Rockland brothers, one of them wounded in the hand, were back in custody at the Waldo County Jail today after their capture at gunpoint in Windham. The pair was apprehended Monday night in a wooded area, six hours after they walked off from a jail work detail and stole a car in Belfast, police said. ”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “A load of household goods, belonging to Mr. Hinckley of Saco, who recently purchased the Dame laundry, caught fire just outside of Brunswick Tuesday morning while they were being moved from Brunswick to Saco by Robert C. Meserve on his auto truck. The cause of the fire is unknown and fortunately the damage was not very heavy.”
