From the Journal Tribune: “A Lexus sports utility vehicle , bearing Ohio plates, was heavily damaged in Biddeford Pool Tuesday as a result of a collision with a city fire truck which sent both the driver and the passenger of the SUV to the hospital.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “August was a ‘slow month’ for Biddeford firefighters, according to Chief Arthur King. The department answered 23 calls in this period. Chief King attributed, in part, the smaller number of calls to the strictly enforced state law governing the burning of leaves and rubbish and the use of incinerators. The ambulance made 44 runs during the month.”
