The Knitting and Crafting Group meets every Thursday from 1:30-4 p.m. Knit, crochet, embroider and hook rugs with others. Participants should bring their own supplies.
The After-School Lego Club meets from 3-4 p.m. Legos are provided. Children ages 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
“Lounge at the Library,” where tweens and teens can be themselves, will be after school on Wednesdays. The lounge offers a safe and fun space for homework, socializing and/ or participating in various group activities. Drop in for 10 minutes or stay for an hour.
The book discussion group will meet from 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesdays in the Deering Room. The group is open to all who love to read and talk. Contact Chris at the reference desk, 283-3861, for this month’s book.
The Romp & Rhyme Toddlers Group meets from 10- 11 a.m. each Thursday in the Deering Room. This special program for ages 18 months to 3 years includes finger plays, songs, sign language, movement and stories, with social time for parents and play time for children afterward. Through repetition and fun challenges, toddlers learn speech and listening skills.
