Dayton Parks and Recreation is hosting Dayton Community Day behind Dayton Consolidated School.
The fun begins at 1:45 p.m. with a tractor, bicycle and small motorized vehicle parade. Those who want to participate should begin at 1:30 p.m.
Admission is a suggested donation of $5 per family, and festivities include Touch-a-Truck, carnival games and craft table and vendors. Maine Operation Game Thief will also be in attendance, and there will be a police K9 demonstration.
Pony rides by LaDawn Quarter Horse will be held from 2-3 p.m. for $10.
Other activities with individual prices include a cow train ride, a bounce house, face painting, an obstacle course and a snack shack.
Monday, August 29
Soprano Liesl Quigley will perform at 7 p.m., and there will be a hymn-sing at the First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport, 141 North St. Admission is free. Donations may be made to the Hook Organ Restoration Fund.
