
She was born in Biddeford on Feb. 28, 1936, a daughter of Leo and Mabel (Binette) Guinard. She graduated from St. Andre’s High School, Class of 1954.
Madeleine was employed by local shoe shops, ALB Rubber and Lee’s Studio of Biddeford. She was an avid reader who enjoyed cooking and sewing. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and cat Sweet Pea.
She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Ralph and Roger Guignard; and one sister, Jackie Macomber.
She is survived by: her husband of 59 years, Ronald Vachon of Biddeford; her son Mark and his fiancé Sharon Schumaker of Saco; her daughter Denise Kimball of Dayton; two grandchildren, Danny Kimball and Krysti Vachon; one brother, Robert Guinard and his wife Paulette; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
