An East Baldwin woman was taken by Limington Rescue to Mercy Hospital in Portland with leg injuries Wednesday morning after the car she was driving left the road and struck a guardrail on Route 11 in Limington.

York County Sheriff Bill King said the driver, Sarah Warren, 45, may have fallen asleep behind the wheel of her 2012 Toyota Camry or suffered a medical event. She was driving north on Route 11, known as Sokokis Trail, when the accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. The crash, which took place near Limington Town Hall, is under investigation.
