From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “‘Mike,’ the pet dog of R. A. Fairfield of Saco, well known to dozens of the acquaintances of Mr. Fairfield, is dead. His age was 13 years which is a good many for a dog. This little canine, an Irish terrier, was the constant companion of his owner for years and was a remarkably intelligent and companionable little friend.”
