The Brunswick Fire Department extinguished a brush fire that broke out Monday evening near the former Jordan Acres School.

A dispatcher said the school, which has been closed for a couple of years, and nearby homes were not damaged. The building is located off Jordan Avenue.

The fire was reported around 7:23 p.m.
