From the Journal Tribune: “Since May of 2005, the cost of asphalt used to pave Maine roads has increased 106 percent. Transportation Commissioner Dave Cole said that means road repair costs have increased faster than projected and the state has been forced to ‘adjust’ projects to meet available funds.”
