The driver of this vintage convertible was not injured Thursday morning when he crashed through a fence and into the Goodwin’s Mills Cemetery in the triangle that marks the intersection of South Street, Hill Road and Church Street in Lyman. Three to four headstones were damaged, and the impact took out four or five granite fence posts, according to Goodwin’s Mills Fire and Rescue, which assisted at the scene. No information was available at press time as to the cause of the crash. The cemetery association has been notified, and will work to restore the damage.
