OLD ORCHARD BEACH — A 37-yearold Old Orchard Beach resident has been charged with trafficking heroin following a heroin and fentanyl investigation in York County.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agents, along with officers from Old Orchard Beach and Saco, served Bradford Phillips with a search warrant at 4 a.m. Friday at his 7 Beecherie Ave. residence, according to a press release from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

During the search, agents found 15 grams of a heroin/fentanyl mix with an estimated street value of $2,200, according to the press release. Police also seized a large amount of prescription drugs including oxycodone and methadone, according to the press release.

For the past two months, agents assigned to MDEA’s York District Task Force have been investigating the sale of heroin throughout Old Orchard Beach area by Phillips and others, according to the press release.

Phillips was taken to York County Jail for booking. His bail was set at $20,000 cash. As of Friday afternoon, Phillips was still in jail.
