From the Journal Tribune: “When it comes to lobster rolls, or anything lobster really, I voted with the purists. There are many foods that benefit from tinkering, adjusting seasonings, or cooking in a new way – broiling or frizzling instead of frying, or adding a different sauce – you know the drill. But when it comes to lobster – and lobster rolls – certain rules apply. Lobster is yummy just the way it is – so I say leave it alone.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “What every city needs is a mobile city dump. Biddeford’s dump not only has moving parts, but these parts breath and make noises like a billygoat. Caretaker Edward Gilbert often brings his own goat, named Billy, to the pile of trash to watch it disappear. Billy munches on a tasty piece of discarded wallpaper. The animal, which was given to Gilbert a year ago, follows his master around the city property as faithfully as a dog and sleeps on a couch in the discarded bus. Faced with plenty of comfort, who can believe it’s a ‘dog’s life?’”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “A runabout driven by Carl Dearborn was discovered on fire in front of the furnished goods store at the corner of Main and Water streets in Saco this noon, a few minutes before 1 o’clock, and an alarm was sent in from box 61 and the Saco fire department called out. The blaze was put out by a hand extinguisher and the fireman were not called upon to do any work.”
