From the Journal Tribune: “York County Commissionaires coveted unanimously Wednesday to enter into an agreement with Saco to form First County Regional Communications Center. The agreement by the four commissioners present means the two entities, and any others who wish to join, will work together to provide a center for E911 calls and dispatch functions.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Yesterday’s Biddeford Board of Education meeting was highlighted by the body finding charges against three Biddeford teachers ‘groundless on the basis that they lacked supporting witness testimony.’ The charges were not provided as a witness failed to appear for testimony at the hearing.”

100 years ago

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “The Buffalo Bill show and Ranch 101 were delayed in getting to Biddeford this morning, not arriving until 10 o’clock. This is partly due to a scarcity of helpers but mainly because the show trains were sidetracked on the way down from Lynn where the show exhibited last night. This is naturally made the whole program late for you cannot drop five hours out of the itinerary of a circus without putting something awry. But the circus folks got busy after they arrived and soon there was a stream of wagons, horses, paraphernalia and the Hill street were where the tents were erected.”
