SACO — The Southern Maine Activities Association recently announced its baseball awards and many locals made the cut, including Thornton Academy’s Ben Lambert who took home the Edson Hadlock Award as the most valuable pitcher.
Also receiving an award was Massabesic’s Dawson Renaud, who was given the Freddy Parent Award for dedication and attitude.
Lambert also was named to the SMAA all-conference first team as a pitcher and an outfielder. Teammate Evan Balzano also made the first team at first base, as well as TA’s Brogan Searle-Belanger at third base. TA catcher Brandon Hall was named to the SMAA all-conference second team.
Hall was also named to the all-defensive team, along with Biddeford first baseman Brady Crepeau.
