The National Association of Social Workers, the major professional social work organization in Maine, committed to advancing professional social work practice and promoting human rights, social and economic justice and unimpeded access to services for everyone, has made the following endorsements:

Senate 7 (Hancock County): Ted Koffman

These candidates’ positions were congruent with social work issues and values, including MaineCare expansion, addiction treatment and prevention, general assistance for immigrant and refugee populations, K-12 education funding, background checks for the purchase of firearms and increasing the state’s minimum wage.
