From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “Several have inquired if the city of Biddeford has done anything in regard to a new contract with the York County Power Company for lighting on the streets. At one of the recent city council meetings that committee on streets was authorized to take up the matters and make a report. The city is paying for its lights under the old contract, and under the new contract offered would save a nice bit of money.”
