
She was born on May 10, 1979, to Lucein R. and Terry Amy (Diffin) Bisson in Portland. She graduated from Biddeford High School, Class of 1997.
She was a homemaker, and she adored her family. She loved all animals, and was always rescuing animals in need. She also enjoyed music and dancing.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Allie Diffin, and Loraine and Ora Penington.
Melissa is survived by: her significant other, Donald Babb Jr. of Saco; her daughter, Lorin Amy Babb of Saco; her parents, Lucein R. and Terry Bisson of Biddeford; two brothers, Robert Diffin of Biddeford and John Day Jr. of Sanford; a foster brother, Dean Goodwin and his wife Elaina of Kissimmee, Florida; a sister, Catherine Day of Biddeford; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hope Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Melissa’s name may be made to the Animal Welfare Society, 44 Holland Road, Kennebunk, ME 04093.
