From the Journal Tribune: “It wasn’t long ago that young people on skates and skateboards were persecuted for using downtown streets and sidewalks as training ground. These days, cities around the country like Biddeford are working to incorporate the sport into public recreation by keeping it contained. According to the City Council, a new skate park will soon appear on Pool Street, in Clifford Park.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “During last night’s meeting of the Biddeford Hairdressers Association, the home of Mrs. Alice Verrier, the state report was read announcing that the state meeting will be held May 15 at the Wonderbar Steak House in Biddeford. The president did not attend last night’s meeting.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “Look out for the dog officer from now on, all you who own unlicensed dogs. The officer has been commissioned to take a destroy all dogs that have not been licensed. He lives if his owner wishes him to. He dies through his owner’s indifference if the license is not paid. He has no choice in this matter.”
