From the Journal Tribune: “Town officials have served the owner of a public bathroom next to The Pier with an eviction notice effective June 1 and considered having the building closed for code violations. ‘They’re squatters,’ Town Manager James Thomas said Friday of the owner of the bathroom building.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Biddeford police are investigating a break at the Gagne Brothers Oil office, White’s Wharf, Biddeford. Damage to the safe and cold drink machine was reported as the office was ransacked, police said.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “Still another new business proposition has come forward in Saco and it is now strongly probable that the two upper stories of the Chapman building on Mechanic street may be devoted to paper box making. The lower story of this building is occupied as a piping and plumbing establishment and this business will probably continue there.”
