Free tutor training sessions for new volunteer tutors is being offered by Literacy Volunteers of Greater Sanford. The training prepares volunteers who want to tutor adults in reading, writing, math or computing. Training includes an online segment to be completed independently and a required group session. The group session will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Literacy Volunteers office, 883 Main St. Pre-registration is required. “More Than Honey,” a film about the disappearance of bees presented by the Maine Chapter of the Sierra Club, will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Kennebunk. Admission is free. Coffee and dessert will be served at 6:30 p.m. The film starts at 7 p.m.
