The Freeport Woman’s Club has sponsored a juried mixed media-art show for Freeport High School students this month at the Freeport Community Library. The winners in the four categories – drawings, paintings, ceramics and sculptures – were announced on Wednesday, April 13. Cash prizes will be awarded to underclassmen on June 2, and to graduating seniors during scholarship night on June 10. Sophomore Diamond Morris won the sculpture division with his design with wire entitled “Wired.”

Bennett High, a junior, won the blue ribbon for best drawing with his piece, “Fishing Gears.”

Junior Lucy Sandin created a two-dimensional mini-series she called “Changing Skies,” to win the painting blue ribbon.

Sophomore Johanna Bogue won best photography with LA (Lewiston-Auburn) scenes.
