A woman’s body was found Saturday morning at Dunkin’ Donuts in Windham.

Police identified the woman as Erica Foster, 35, of Windham. Foster was an employee at the coffee shop and had taken a break to smoke a cigarette, said police Sgt. Ray Williams.

Williams said she returned to the store, went into the bathroom and didn’t come out.

Another employee discovered her body, Williams said, and there was evidence at the scene of drug use. Williams declined to be specific about what police found, and he said authorities, who are still investigating the incident, don’t know if drug use contributed to Foster’s death.

Windham officers along with fire and rescue personnel responded to the call at 1:39 a.m.

Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies, who happened to be across the street from Dunkin’ Donuts when the call for help was received, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation but were unable to revive her.
