An annual silent and live auction to benefit the Corner Cupboard will be held from 6:30- 8 p.m. at the Sanford UU Church, 5 Lebanon St. The recommended $5 donation for admission includes a dessert buffet and beverages. Child care will be available. For more information, call 324-3191.

The Great Scot Trot will take place at Bonny Eagle High School in Standish. Proceeds support the Faith Littlefield/Flossie Smith Scholarship Fund and Camp Sunshine in Casco. Race time for the 5K is 10 a.m.; registration at the school begins at 8 a.m. A kids’ fun run takes place at 9:45 a.m., and no registration or fee is necessary. The family price is $40.
