A lecture by internationally renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier will be held at the University of New England at 5:30 p.m. in the Alfond Center for Health Sciences, room 106 on the Biddeford Campus.

Schneier will examine how large-scale socio-technical systems that deliver instant accessibility and functionality demand continuous access to people and their information, leaving the population vulnerable to a host of new security threats from the users, outsiders, corporations and governments that control the systems. The lecture is free and open to public. For more information, visit www.une.edu/calendar/ 2016/privacy-and-security-a-world-sized-web.
