Jeffrey Hodgkins, 24, of Hollis, was charged by York County sheriff’s deputies with operating under the influence Sunday following a 10:45 p.m. single-vehicle crash on County Road in Shapleigh. York County Sheriff Bill King said this morning that information on what transpired was scant. Jacob Higgins, 19, of Waterboro, was a passenger. King said neither man suffered life-threatening injuries, but the extent of their injuries was not available this morning. Both men were taken to the Sanford campus of Southern Maine Health Care. Higgins was issued a summons charging violation conditions of release.
