A Windham man has died from injuries sustained in a car crash late Thursday night.

Windham police say Brent Muehle, 29, was driving on River Road near Covered Bridge Road around 10:15 p.m. when his car left the road and crashed into trees. He was ejected from the car.

Muehle, who was alone in his car, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to police. He died at the hospital Friday morning.

The Windham Police Department is reconstructing the accident as part of their investigation. Police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.
