From the Journal Tribune: “It could take up to two months before the office of the Medical Examiner is able to determine the cause and manner of death of a male inmate who died last month following a fight with another inmate in York County Jail. Luis Martinez, 32, of Lynn, Mass., who was in jail on pending drug charges, was pronounced dead at Goodall Hospital in Sanford on Feb. 21 following an altercation with another inmate. The second inmate was placed in maximum security following the incident.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Parking problems in Biddeford were discussed last night at a meeting of Mayor Leo R. Lemire and a parking committee with three recommendations made in the attempt to solve the problem. The installation of 23 meters on Lincoln Street, Biddeford, strict enforcement of the existing parking ordinance by the police department and an attempt by the local merchants to find suitable parking spaces for their employees were listed as aims of the group.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “While Biddeford has been pluming itself to a greater of less extent on escaping practically all the big storms of the winters, storms which have buried effete Boston, beans and all, to a depth of nearly a foot and a half, it is now bound to admit that at last it has got what was coming to it, for this morning it awoke to a ‘world of sky and snow,’ the latter having attained during the few hours of night, a depth of nearly one foot.”
