It is hosted by the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber in the Community Room, 8 Venture Ave., Brunswick Landing, from noon to 1:30 p.m., on the first Tuesday of each month. The program is sponsored by Wild Oats Bakery & Café (a longtime SMMC member and SMMC Small Business of the Year recipient). It is facilitated by their managing director, Valerie King Mallar.
The goal of this monthly lunch meeting is for 12 SMMC members — both new and more seasoned — to get to know each other and their respective businesses in a small, casual networking environment. Receive updates on Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber events and programs. Meet face to face.
Each individual is given the opportunity to introduce themselves and provide details on their respective business while having lunch provided by Wild Oats Bakery & Café. Each member brings their brochures or other informative pieces of literature to hand out, business cards are exchanged and new business relationships are begun. This event results in valuable connections and referrals.
Are you interested in this opportunity? This is a SMMC members only, invitation only event. So, please contact the chamber at info@midcoastmaine.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
