WELLS — Visit the Wells Reserve at Laudholm for vacation week fun at Winter Wildlife and Snow Day on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The day starts with the Center for Wildlife bringing out some of its animal ambassadors to demonstrate how animals survive Maine’s cold, snowy winters. The presentation will be followed at 11 a.m. by a guided walk, where participants will search for tracks and other animal signs, and by indoor craft projects that allow the little ones to be creative.

At noon, the focus shifts to snow sports, with everybody invited to sled down the hill or to snowshoe and cross-country ski into the woods or down to the beach on seven miles of trails.
