
Born Feb. 18, 1953, in Rochester, New Hampshire, a son of Rensford Nichols Sr. and Gertrude (Haycock) Nichols, he resided for eight years in Biddeford after residing for most of his life in Rochester.
Dennis worked at local shoe factories in Farmington and Rochester, and as a machine operator at the former Thompson Center Arms in Rochester.
He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and cutting wood. He especially loved his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Clifton Nichols and Rensford “Sonny” Nichols Jr.
He is survived by: children Matthew L. Nichols, Mark W. Nichols, Christina L. Nichols and Jennifer K. Grant; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Driscoll; a brother, James Nichols; many nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion, Nancy Kellher.
Visiting hours are 3 – 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central St., Farmington, N.H., with a service at 5 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
