SACO — Ronald M. Lynes, 78, of Saco, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
He was born in Biddeford on April 4, 1937, a son of James and Majorie (Campbell) Lynes. He attended Biddeford schools.
Ron served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. In 1967, he married his wife, Patricia (Parent) Lynes in Hartford, Connecticut.
Ron was employed by Raytheon Corp. in Waltham, Massachusetts, for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family, and with his nieces and nephews.
Ron had a great love of music. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Biddeford, and a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco.
He was preceded in death by: two brothers, William and James Lynes Jr.; and two sisters, Dorothy and Joan Lynes.
He is survived by: his wife, Patricia; one son, Greg Lynes of Saco; one brother, Jerry Lynes of Saco; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Most Holy Trinity Church, Good Shepherd Parish, in Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
