From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “The fast and well balanced basketball team which represents the Abbott school at Farmington will be the opponents of Thornton Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the George A. Emery gymnasium. This should be a rattling good game to watch as the Farmington boys are considered one of the best school teams in the vicinity, while Captain James Larkin’s boys are traveling at a pace at present, which means that it would take an exceptionally fast outfit to beat them.”
