
She was born on Jan. 1, 1923, to Donat and Alexina (Plante) Bouthillette in Saco. She attended St. Joseph’s School.
On Oct. 18, 1941, she married Leopold Dion at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. They spent 56 years together until his death on Jan. 22, 1997.
Bernice worked at Pepperell Mill for 26 years. She loved to play bingo and cards. She wintered in Winter Haven, Florida, for 33 years.
She is preceded in death by: her two sisters, Donia Dubuc and Doris Cloutier.
Bernice is survived by: one son, Richard Dion of Hampton, New Hampshire; one daughter, Helen Belisle and her husband Richard of Saco; one daughter-in-law, Huguette Dion of Biddeford; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
