From the Journal Tribune: “A Biddeford man was apprehended by police on Wednesday morning only five minutes after completing an armed robbery at the Hannaford Pharmacy on Elm Street. John Goff, 51, of Alfred St., was arrested on charges of armed robbery and refusal to submit to arrest after he allegedly demanded Oxycontin from the Hannaford Pharmacy at 9:20 a.m. He was carrying a piece of galvanized pipe, compressed on one end, which he used to threaten the pharmacist…”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Two divorces on grounds of cruel and abusive treatment, were granted pending a 10-day appeal period during a session of Saco 10th District Court by Judge George Varney. Lucien A. Corriveau of Saco was granted a divorce from Hannah H. Corriveau, also of Saco, with custody of five minor children being awarded to mother.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “People in Biddeford and Saco and particularly those connected with the Saco shoe factory project, were shocked to read in the evening papers Tuesday night of the death by gas poisoning in his garage at Quincy, Mass., of Ronald McDonald.”
