From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “There was a bowling match at the Alfred street alleys Tuesday evening in which the quintettes representing the pattern room and the belt shop in Saco-Lowell machine shops, battled with the candle pins. The pattern boys were victorious, winning two of three strings, and pulling out with the largest grand three string total.”
