From the Journal Tribune: “Opponents of the Comprehensive Plan began the final weekend before the Nov. 8 election with an emotional rally urging people to vote against the document being offered by the growth planning committee. More than 50 people filed into Atlantic Hall in Cape Porpoise Friday evening for a 90- minute rally that was filled with speeches, homemade cookies and apple cider, and poster displays asking people to get out the vote Tuesday.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Several Saco teenagers have been turned over to their parents after receiving severe reprimands from police. Capt. Robert Foran said today that charges of malicious mischief could have been brought by Ferry Road property owners following a raid Saturday night by six boys and two girls on pumpkins which had been placed on doorsteps.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “A special meeting of the stockholders of the Saco Water Power company has been called, to be held at the office of the Pepperell Manufacturing company Thursday of next week. The purpose of the meeting is to see whether or not the stockholders will vote to dissolve the corporation and to act on any matter relative to such dissolution.”
