Cornerstone United Methodist Church is hosting a roast beef dinner at 6:30 p.m. at 20 Jenkins Rd. in Saco. The menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, carrots, string beans, and strawberry shortcake. Adults are $10 and children 12 and under are $4.

Saco Bay Artists will hold its monthly meeting featuring Norman West discussing silverpoint at noon at the Pines on Manor Street in Ocean Park. Silverpoint is an ancient method used by Leonardo DaVinci to draw on clay-coated paper that obtains a warm patina as it ages. West teaches at Heartwood College and the Ogunquit Arts Collaborative, and has exhibited in many shows in New England. The meeting is free and open to the public. University of New England will present the film premiere of “Max: Surviving the Holocaust” by Daniel Lambert from 6-8 p.m. Hear the harrowing story of a young boy’s experience in Nazi-occupied Europe, from time in hiding, to capture, to survival of Auschwitz concentration camp, in his own words. Based on interviews with Portland resident and Holocaust survivor Max Slobotzky. There will be light refreshments, followed by the screening at 6:45 p.m. and a Q&A with Slobotzky.
