From the Journal Tribune: “York County Commissioners have decided they will continue to participate in talks about consolidating most of the county’s dispatch centers. Commissioners Oscar Stone, Lucien Dutremble, David Carpenter and Chairman Marc Meserve signaled their desire to pursue one county-wide center, while Glorida Layman said some of her constituents asked that she press for three.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Students who expect to complete their secondary school requirements at Biddeford High School and enter college in 1967 can register now at the school office for the 1966-67 National Merit Scholarship program, Principal Paul Stebbins announced today. The first step for all students who wish to enter the nation-wide competition is to take the National Merit Sholarship Qualifying Test.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “There are some who do not expect Westbrook high to be very strenuous opponents of Thornton academy, Saturday afternoon, at the Saco Driving park, while others are satisfied that the Westbrook management will send out a much faster team than has been representing the school so far this season. In order to make a showing Westbrook high has got to be represented by an unusually fast aggregation.”
