The following is a list of ongoing and upcoming events at McArthur Public Library, 270 Main St., Biddeford:

• Teen Lounge, each Tuesday, 2:30-4:30 p.m. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to drop in to the library’s community room after school for crafts, laptops, board games and video games, and to hang out and chat with friends. • Knitting Group, each Friday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join the group for a fun morning of knitting, chatting, and sharing tips and knowledge.

• Tuesday, Oct. 20, 11 a.m. Emily Schroeder from the Maine State Library will help people research their family history. Schroeder is an expert genealogist and will provide an overview of the library edition of Ancestry.com. Call 284-4181 for more information.

• Friday, Oct. 23, 11 a.m. Lisa Luken will teach people how to use her simple, sixstep process to get focused and take action so their photos are organized and preserved for generations to come. Call 284-4181 for more information.

• Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids and adults are welcome to join the library as it celebrates “Food Day,” where the focus is on fresh, local food. There will be games, crafts, green smoothies and, of course, food. There will also be an apple pie bake-off. Bring pies between noon and 1 p.m. for judging at 1 p.m.

• Wednesday, Oct. 28, 5:30-7 p.m. Join McArthur Library, the Maine Historical Society, and the Maine State Library as the library spends an evening sorting through old photographs and historical objects in local collections that are missing some identifying details. The library needs folks’ help in naming people, places and events. People are welcome to bring their own mystery photos, too; bring original, copies or scanned photos on a thumb drive. • Friday, Oct. 30, 2 p.m. Free Film Friday with a Halloween theme. Enjoy popcorn while watching a free film at the library. Call 284-4181 for more information.

• Sunday, Nov. 1, 2 p.m. McArthur Library will host a free concert with “Two Old Friends,” the musical duo of Emery Hutchins and Jim Prendergast. Their music will include: ballads, footstomping tunes, mandolin, solos, gospel sing-alongs, traditional Irish tunes, storytelling and plenty of good humor and cheer. • Tuesday, Nov. 3, 5:30- 6:30 p.m. Join family support worker Chelsea Canedy for a workshop on how to improve relationships with your children now and into the future.
