
She was born on March 24, 1928, to Joseph and Maria (Breault) Croteau in Biddeford.
She was an active member of the Biddeford 50-Plus Club and greatly enjoyed the time she spent there playing cards with friends, attending luncheons and going on club-organized trips.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Linda Cain; her husband of 36 years, Reginald Cain; and her brothers, Paul and Bob Croteau.
Rita is survived by: her son, Ronald Cain and his wife Cheryl of Arundel; her sister, Yvonne Cantara of Saco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 at Hope Memorial, Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
Memorial donations in Rita’s name may be made to Biddeford 50-Plus Club Bus Fund, P.O. Box 586, Biddeford, ME 04005.
