From the Journal Tribune: “Three different groups of high school and middle school students are going on overnight retreats this week, causing some Maine School Administraticve District 71 directors to question the need to have the sessions off-campus or a relatively long distance away. Students in the alternative education program at the Middle School of the Kennebunks are planning a three-day retreat designed to prevent risky behavior.”

FromtheBiddeford-SacoJournal:“Ina9p.m.accident Saturday, on East Grand Avenue, a vehicle operated by John B. Hages, 38, of Portland his three Sea Breeze cottages owned by Selma Schwartz, causing extensive damage to one. The vehicle was a total loss.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “Last Saturday afternoon a semi-convertible trolley car at the Atlantic Shore Line left the tracks at Long Beach in the town of York. The car was bound for Biddeford and at 1.10 was opposite the Mitchell House when a spread rail caused the trucks to leave the tracks. … (T)he only injury reported was that of a woman, a Miss Davis of York Beach, who bruised her shoulder.”
